What’s a vape?
A vaporizer, or vape, is any device that utilizes heat to vaporize the active molecules in cannabis flower and concentrates. Though most are handheld, vaporizers come in all shapes and sizes.
What can I vape?
Cannabis flower, cannabis oil, concentrates, and extracts can all be vaporized to consume their activated cannabinoids following vaporization. Vaporization provides a less harmful alternative to smoking, as it occurs at temperatures that do not allow the cannabis flower to combust, which potentially releases harmful tar and carcinogens.
While there are various vaporizers available on the market today, vape pens are among the most common and accessible devices for vaping. A vape pen consists of two pieces, a battery and cartridge. Vape pens are often shaped like a writing pen, but also come in a variety of styles; button or buttonless, cylindrical or rectangular, large or small. There is a shape and style to fit many personal preferences. Vape pens can be either rechargeable or disposable.
Vape pens can be filled with varieties of cannabis extracts. The most common is distillate, a highly refined oil containing only a few cannabinoids focused on THC or CBD. Specialty concentrates like CO2 oil and shatter have all the marijuana plant’s cannabinoids and create a different experience.
